We’re proud to serve locally roasted and hand-selected Vashon Coffee, along with fresh pastries delivered to us every day from places like Macrina, Essential Baking Company, Little Rae’s, Wisteria Bakery, Desserts for Flirts, and Ma Johnson pies. Our handmade sandwiches and paninis are always made to order. Each day we have fresh salads and hot soup!

Moka’s is conveniently located just off I-5 near South Lake Union next door to David Smith. With plenty of free parking and free wireless Internet we’re a perfect stop to grab a cup and check email before tackling your day, or a nice afternoon respite with a soothing tea.

Mokas name was chosen because of its many meanings and the importance it has in the origin of the coffee trade. For over two centuries, from roughly 1600 to 1850, Mokha was one of the original ports in Yemen where coffee was exported to such places as India, Palestine, Egypt, and North Africa to name a few. It can be spelled Moka, Mokha, Mocha, or Mocca. Besides being a famous coffee blend, chocolate coffee drink, and an original port for the East Indian Trading Company we are also proud to bring it to you as our name. So try a Mokha, Yemen, or Ethiopian coffee and take yourself back to coffees origins and tastes. Enjoy!
